SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY

Background

The Department primarily nurtures the Basic Sciences and offers courses leading to:

a) the award of the National Diploma in Science Technology, and In addition to the basic functions listed above, the Department services other schools in the Polytechnic in the Basic Sciences, and is also engaged in the rectification of students’ deficiencies to the level required for ND admission into the departments in the Schools of Engineering and Science & Computer Studies through the Pre-National Diploma programme in Science.

National Diploma Programme Entry Requirement (Fulltime and Part Time)

Applicants must possess five (5) Credit passes in SSCS/NECO/GCE in not more than two sittings. These credits must include:

i) Mathematics
ii) English Language and the following Science Subjects:
iii) Biology/Agricultural Science
iv) Chemistry
v) Physics
